Pretty Climbers
It sure was a cloudy day today…it rained too. But it wasn’t enough to stop a trip to the Downtown Des Moines Farmer’s Market with my friend Stace.
I love farmer’s markets and DM’s is one of the best. I could buy and eat everything there…definitely have to limit how much cash I take with. Today we were crazy about bread and bought 5 loaves between the two of us.
Lots of good lookin’ locally grown produce.
Purty flowers.
And salivating sweet treats! The cupcakes on the left were Margarita …I resisted (barely).
Here’s my goods. I’m always sure to pick up stuff that’s not yet producing from my own garden. It may be another month before I get any fresh tomatoes.
The goods include: Iowa Country Garlic Mustard, yellow squash, beefsteak tomato, rhubarb bread, Papparedelle’s sun-dried tomato fettucine and South Union multi-grain bread.
After lunch at Raccoon River Brewing Co. and some mall shopping, it was back home to do some yard work. My front beds were in desperate need of weeding and mulch.
It sure is getting pretty with so much stuff in bloom. I’ve been loving my clematis lately.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Um…I see a sign for chocolate dipped bacon. But, for some reason, you didn’t mention how much you bought. I assume 5lbs.
Yes I bought ’em out of it. Actually I didn’t even notice til I saw this picture later. My eyes were hooked on the Margarita cupcakes….guess Margaritas are more important to me than bacon or chocolate.
